Kindness

Thank You God Almighty for everything You do and continue to do.

What does it mean to be kind? Everyone can be nice but Kind has nothing to do with feelings but an action that is required from us. Nice is a thing example looking at the below picture, in my opinion it is a nice pic of one section of my local park. Kind is doing something for someone that has nothing to do with my feelings. So as the bible says Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32 NLT

We are all created by God’s image, beautiful and wonderful made. No matter what anyone says, it is how we feel on the inside that matters.

Kindness is a choice that we face everyday in life, when we walk down the street and smile at someone that is an act of kindness. It is a gift from God and it is an action that is required from us to participate in everyday.

I was really going to talk about stigma and how that can affect someone’s day. As I was typing it and thought no, let us be kind and don’t give in to the idea of writing about in nevegativity but the act of Kindness can get rid of the stigma we face daily.

As I was reading an article and the definition below is perfect.

Stigma is when someone views you in a negative way because you have a distinguishing characteristic or personal trait that’s thought to be, or actually is, a disadvantage (a negative stereotype). – By Mayo Clinic Staff

Stigma involves unkind words and unspoken body languages. Unfortunately, stigma is part of everyday life that we encounter in the workplace or home. An example is when we stereotype someone because of their race or age and cateregising them in one box and it seems like this is a norm that people don’t think twice but say it. We must STOP and think of how we will feel if that was us on the receiving end, better yet our loved one?

Instead of turning a blind eye and not being a good samaritan I started to look at my why? Was I scared or just didn’t care. Self-evaluating is good because it helps me to see what and how I can change for the better. The Bible says love one another, not just my family and friends but everyone. It starts with Love and everything follows. Love leads to kindness, seeking the truth in its path even when it hurts, bears all things and puts up with almost everything. What it never does is rejoicing in the unjust and never sees anyone as hopeless. So my journey still continues and everyday I wake up. I pray to be a blessing to someone today and show some act of kindness.

This Thursday as we go into the weekend, spread the LOVE. Random acts of KINDNESS helps others and guess what it makes you feel better too. Think of how you will be kind to someone today. How wonderful is that?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read, I pray that you will be bless.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 NIV
