God The Protector-Inspired by Psalm 91

Then they put their hands over their ears and began shouting.
They rushed at him and dragged him out of the city
and began to stone him. His accusers took off their coats
and laid them at the feet of a young man named Saul.
He fell to his knees, shouting,
“Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died.
Acts of the Apostles 7: 57-60 NLT

“Our thanks are due to God for all temporal blessings; they are more than we deserve. But our thanks ought to go to God in thunders of hallelujahs for spiritual blessings. A new heart is better than a new coat. To feed on Christ is better than to have the best earthly food. To be an heir of God is better than being the heir of the greatest nobleman. To have God for our portion is blessed, infinitely more blessed than to own broad acres of land. God hath blessed us with spiritual blessings. These are the rarest, the richest, the most enduring of all blessings; they are priceless in value.” – (Spurgeon)

He puts it so beautiful, the blessings from God is not deserved or earned but because our God is wonderful and faithful and His Love for us is beyond any imagination

I love all these Marvel and DC comics because it takes me away from the real world into a fantasy that allows me to dream and see myself as wonder woman or have the Iron man suit myself. In the real world, my superhero is no other than our God and Father and Yes He deserves this praise and glory. In the real world Stephen died and Saul became Paul.

Here goes Psalm 91 in my eyes as I sit at His feet and look around at the wonders of this world, let me take you on a journey how I read the Bible and allow the Holy Spirit to fit the puzzles together and make one big story. Be silent in His presence and know that He is God.

The Protector of all and also a Promise keeper
Whoever lives under the shelter of the Most High
will remain in the shadow of the Almighty

Being under the shelter of God not only gives us Protection but also gives us the fruit of the spirit
Which is Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.
For I will need this when trouble comes and every day living.

I will say to my Savior and ADONAI
“You are my defender and Protector. You are my GOD, in You alone I trust”
For in You I have the complete set of armour to protect me
Before  the enemy comes I am able to stand my ground

With the belt of truth, buckled around my waist
With the breastplate of righteousness in place
And with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes with the gospel of peace
In addition to all this, I will hold my shield of faith to extinguish the arrows that will come from the evil one.
Lord God you are so wonderful that you did not just leave my head uncover
You also gave me protection for my mind and I will put on the helmet of Salvation In Christ Jesus
And never leave without my sword of the Spirit which is Your word.

With all these tools in hand and You by my side
I will not fear anything
When I am thrown into the lion's den
I know I will trust You for You alone will shut the mouth of the Lion
You will feed the enemies to the lion

You rescued me from the hidden traps,
You shielded me from deadly hazards
You are my everything and when storms come
You are the shelter to run to for cover

In the midst of any fire that will come my way
You God are the only one that can save me
Even if You don’t, I will always consider it pure joy and Worship You in Spirit and truth.

When I am face with the temptation to serve other gods
Or worship idols I will lean on Jesus for in Him I have the freedom and even if I die in the trails I face I surround my soul to you God

Lord, I believe and trust in Your word

When I pray you answer and sometimes the answers are not what I need
In my darkest moment in the moment when I cry
You came and gave me comfort

Listen to what my God and Saviour said to me as I sat at His feet
Because I delight in Him as my First Love, my Great Lover
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.
I speak to you this eternal truth: whoever cherishes my words and keeps them will never experience death.”

Yahweh let
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven
You are in charge
You can do anything You want
You are ablaze in beauty
Thank You for stopping by.

Inspired by the Ragtag Daily prompt

The Lord Jesus will remain forever
His throne from generation to generation
The circle of love is full of everything that life briings

May the light in you shine bright always
May the Name of our God be glorify
Have a restful weekend
In the Name of Jesus
