'So the Pharisees and teachers of religious law asked him, “Why don’t your disciples follow our age-old tradition? They eat without first performing the hand-washing ceremony.”'Mark 7:5 NLT
Burgress Park-Southwark Park. London
As I ponder on the words of Jesus:
The people honour Me with lips
But their hearts is far from Me
And in vain they worship Me
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men
Why oh why do we like imaginary boxes
The Lord our God is vast and beyond our comprehension
The Lord creates and can not be contain in a box
Yes to Jesus
Yes to Him alone -
I have come to understand that saying Yes is
Saying no to the things that pleases my flesh
And constantly adjusting my eyes that wanders around
As I continue to ponder to myself
Is the old life completely gone?
Not a chance, it creeps in slowly
Life is accustomed to and feel good moments
Life likes familiarity
Yes to Jesus
Means not walking alone
Is it easy? Of course NOT
See this week, we have showers of blessings in London
No surprise, It is always raining
Boy was I glad, I didn’t have to water my potted plants
So on Thursday no rain,
Well I checked up on my plants, the leaves are out wow
You will not believe it
I see something I did not plant
Oh dear this is not good
Weeds - I saw weeds
My eyes widely open - with questions
How did you get in here?
What does it mean?
So these weeds are sprouting from the gaps between the stones
In life as I ponder, I have gaps too
Days when I just want to look inwardly
Days when I don’t anything but me
These are the days the gaps are created
And these gaps makes me lose focus
They bring doubts and fears
They make me look with the wrong lens on
They make me think everyone is against me
As I ponder on what to do
I saw Him and all He wants is to be with me
He is part of my life
Not only when I want Him to be He should be with me all the time
Life is not easy,
the weeds will sprout when we are flourishing
When water is good and I am soaked in His word
When I am vulnerable
It is easy to be distracted
Watch and pray
Be alert always
Yes I decided not to pull all the weeds out
Well I also wanted to see what they will be like
when the time is right
I can distinguish them and pull them out
Very exciting news
For now they stay
I read up that some can be a good flower
Who knows, we will see
So looking at the weeds
In the quietness
In my own craziness
I look at the sky
The sky proclaim the work of His hands
Consider and hear me, O Lord my God
Make my eyes sparkle again
Lest my eyes wonder and fall into the trap of death
So I went for a walk - to burgess park
It is a very big park, looking at the green trees and just enjoying nature
I trust in Your unfailing love
My heart rejoices in Your salvation
I will sing the Lord’s praise
For He has been good to me
As I ponder on the words of Jesus
All Glory to the Father. 👏🏾
It is very much true
Life happens at the corner of our eyes all the distractions come and He is always first. Easy? Don’t think so but leaning on Him adjust the focus.
Thank you for the encouragement, bless you ♥️💐
Wow what a great analogy—with the the weeds growing up amidst the beauty…so true to life.
Fixing our eyes on Him is a priority.❤️
