Walking into the unknown

' The Lord rules forever!
The nations are driven out of his land.
Lord , you have heard the request of the oppressed;
you make them feel secure because you listen to their prayer.
You defend the fatherless and oppressed,
so that mere mortals may no longer terrorize them.'

Psalms 10:16-18 NET

Life in the Unknown world continues… Welcome to the world of walking into unknown places and life is no different. Yet we seem to be surprised at what lies ahead.

What is happening now has happened before.

Nothing is new under the sun.

The story continues…

Waiting for the footsteps to recede down the tunnel as they moved closer. As Athan and men disappeared down into a dark room, Fulrose let go of the breath she had been holding.

Making herself move to the close door, Nwe took a deep breath.

As ready as I could ever be, she told herself. All I can do is try and keep any tension down and see if she can be on our side or make sure the damage is minimal.

They strengthened as she reached the green wooden door. Grasping the handle she pushed the door inward as it swung open freely. Nwe smiled at Cassa standing by the heat of fire. Fulrose closed the door behind them.

Cassa looked surprised at the intruders, and gave them a wary look. She made no attempt to hide her distrust in them but willing to hear them. Nwe reads from Cassa’s mind that this intrusion was not expected but out of curiosity and her need to be free.

Come in, Nwe, said Cassa as moved around getting the bronze and not stopping.

Thank you, Cassa. As she stepped closer eyes took in the small work shift place taking in the bronzes in the selves and the amount of shelves around. And in the corner the fireplace that creates.

Why are you here? Asked Cassa

Nwe chuckled, straight to the point I like that. She indicated to Fulrose to follow, without looking to see if  she was followed moved further into the room to create space from the door and close the ears of outsiders. Both Cassa and Fulrose entered the makeshift circle.

I want you to remember what happened to Amiya, to eliminate the problem we need your help.

Cassa considered this news. It is a good idea, she thought. It is about time she gained her freedom. Why has she invited her to this when they could do it themselves and kill her. Her plans will be dangerous and possible death to all. At once Cassa felt a rising suspicion.

What do you want from me? She blurted.

To invite you to join in the fight, and not to make the weapon he has requested or not as exactly as he wants. It will be dangerous for all if he gets his hands on it. Can you slow him down?

Cassa frowned For how long?

Until we locate the missing men out in the open that are killing. We don’t want to be distracted by him. So they think she is useful and capable of it, Cassa thought. It will be nice to be part of their team for a change. Think I should get some kind of a thank you and acknowledgement for all the work she has done over the years… but I suppose this is an acknowledgement they had sorted her out. Flattered for a moment and she had a small thrill of hope.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I seem to like the short story in the moment 🙂

This is a journal of imaginative mind, fiction and also not much editing letting the words flow. Come back next week to see what happens. For as humans we need to be creative, use imagination and be the best version of ourself. Just like our Father wants us to be.

Who knows the mind of a human, only God!

I do love the Lord and I love that you took the time to read my blog. Bless you.

Have a wonderful day 🙂

All pictures are mine, with a touch of editing app adding
