' From one man he made every nation of the human race to inhabit the entire earth, determining their set times and the fixed limits of the places where they would live, so that they would search for God and perhaps grope around for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move about and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we too are his offspring.’ So since we are God’s offspring, we should not think the deity is like gold or silver or stone, an image made by human skill and imagination. Therefore, although God has overlooked such times of ignorance, he now commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has set a day on which he is going to judge the world in righteousness, by a man whom he designated, having provided proof to everyone by raising him from the dead.”' Acts 17:26-31 NET
Grace and peace to you from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wow, another week has started and I am delighted you can drop by.
Welcome to my vault, hope you had a good weekend? For me?…
It was a relaxing weekend, Saturday at the park with friends getting to know different people.
Sunday Church was reflective as we doing a Summer series on Faith and this Sunday was “Faith and Family”
That was an eye opener and challenge and to sit with the Lord to look at my family.
As Christ followers, we are blessed to have two families:
First the natural family: the one we are all born into without a choice. Good or bad they are our families.
As I look at it my mum and dad are not a choice and it is definitely not random but the act and design of God. He has chosen the best features from them and given it to me. Is how I see it:
The skin colour, the eyes, my cousins and siblings are not random. We are in this world for a reason, a purpose and at the right time, right year, right age, right country for the purpose to fulfil and be part of God’s will.
Sometimes God just points out the things that matter to Him more than anything. The Bible is indeed a lamp and a light to our path
It is full of resources and directions into everyday life
In the Book of 1 Timothy the entire chapter five gives Timothy advice on family and one thing about the Bible it is real and a testimony for us to abide in and follow. For it is active and a two edged sword. It cuts the flesh from the spirit
Well my flesh can be stubborn and wants it’s own way or no way I do love God, because He finds a way to make us see His design, the bigger picture and the webs that forms From the networks of people we come across daily Yes they are definitely not random Looking at a spider web, it has a start point and moves Life is not a random act but a design by the creator who am I to want to move out of the web of God When I move the web it does gets messy The web is there and the connections are there For a reason and a purpose Lord Jesus thank You
As I reflect on the Word of the Lord, in Acts 17:26-31 NET
Wow, Let me see this My God and Saviour did not randomly choose this year To bring you and I together For we all have a reason to be alive I might not know it or figure it all out yet But we are chosen to be in His family we all have one person the original that links everyone together the foundation that is stronger than anything
That leads to our Spiritual family that we are given the choice to choose life or death. Yes we are adopted in advance, we all have a choice to choose to be in the world that leads to death or we choose to say Yes to Christ and have life for this gives God great pleasure and us eternal life.
He wants each and everyone to choose YES!
Sometimes I wonder why the choice Then He is God and gives all choices Even the angels had a choice And now we have the demons, all fallen angels Definitely NOT an equal to GOD Choices, I love God because He loved me first and always and unconditional and before I was born That is good news and it makes me smile Hope you had a good weekend and I want to encourage you to think about the grace of our Lord Jesus, His mercy endures forever. Well thank you for reading my reflection of the weekend.
Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me. Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂 We cannot control what happens around us, but we can control our responses. Be bless and know that the Lord loves you ©Hannah M Vandi. And I also pray that this verse refreshes you this week: 'However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. ' Acts 20:24 NIV
