My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalms 73:26

Hi and welcome to my vault :), hope you had a good weekend. It is always a pleasure that you stopped by: I love to just sit and listen and watch.
My weekend, well let me see..
On Saturday, I learnt about the festival of the Tabernacle . The Lord likes to have gatherings and feast of celebration. Yes, we should be celebrating the little things in life, not just the big ones.
Take a note to celebrate something that happen to you or someone else this week.
Back to Saturday! We had a chance to glorify God. It was a space to worship God no asking, just sitting with others and giving glory to the Father. Sharing what God has done and continues to do. Having communion with one another.
It always give me a chance to:
Look at the wonders of God's creation I like to go outside and capture the moment O God, You have taught me from my youth And to this day I declare Your wonderous works And when my feet had almost stumbled My steps had nearly slipped For I have listen to the voice of hearsay When I taught they speak wisdom You showed me mercy and Grace You revive me again and again My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You And my soul, which You have redeemed.
Just knowing that God wanted to spend time with His chosen people is amazing. And understanding that every decision we make has a consequence, good or bad.
I have come to know that God hates sin! That shows me a God of Love! He doesn’t want us to spend eternity in hell on earth but to enjoy Heaven on Earth until we meet the Lord. God is good and His Mercy endures forever!
And on Sunday we are on the series of Acts!
As I listen and start to mediate what we have learnt in the past weeks.
Church is life and it doesn’t mean we have a magic pill that makes all the problems go away. In fact they increase and we face prosecution BUT the Lord Jesus promises to never leave us but to help us with our burden and we are not to rely on our strength but to focus on Him for the Joy of the Lord is our strength.
Be bless!
Well then come with me. That was a nice tour into the weekend, let us enter the vault and see what we can find.
You know this is timely, winter is here. The weather is cold and it is time we get the winter coats and make some soup to keep us warm.
Did you know that the fruits and vegetables that are seasonal are around for a reason? There is time for everything.
I find it quite fascinating with the seasonal fruits and vegetables, the body needs them at that time. They come at that season to help build the body up, to help protect and fight all harmful things that will come. It helps prepare the body in that season.
So don’t knock it out, when you see them try it out. They are very tasty and also it helps with the climate change and your local fruit and vegetables stores.
With the weather changing, we definitely need to help boost our immune system.
Try eating seasonally: it helps boost the immune system.
Little nugget on ways that can help with seasonal eating.
Ginger herbal tea or ginger + honey + lemon(raw natural ingredient)
Chicken brought soup to help support the gut with an addition of garlic and onions also can do wonders.
Practical applications that I have found helps me in the winter month:
Walk outside for twenty minutes minimum: Yes you heard that correctly
It’s cold! I know all the more reasons to do it.
It helps strengthen the bones, clears the head and changes the scenery.
Also you get to see the beauty of the creation, look up in the sky, stop and look at the trees or the houses.
Some of these houses are a work of art and worth appreciating.
See the things around you and appreciate them. Give thanks.
Work on building your spiritual growth:
To me spiritual growth means spending time with God (i.e. praying, reading the Bible – listening, spending time with people building relationships) it builds up our faith and also it is good for staying on the bright side of life and not to walk in the darkness.
As we walk through the path The darkness is in front of us My soul let us take sword of the spirit For it separates the flesh from the spirit It brings light into the darkness It lets us be a new creation and renews our mind So let us walk and hold The Hand He is faithful
Sleep well:
never underestimate the power of sleep to the body. When you don’t sleep well, it gives us an excuse to drink more caffeine to stay awake.
If you have an alarm to wake up then set an alarm to go to bed early.
Read a book, stay away from all electronics before bed
The brain needs to wind down for a good sleep
Eat foods rich in Vitamins C like broccoli, Oranges, strawberries
Eating vitamin C-rich foods along with Iron-rich foods will greatly improve the absorption of iron. Limit intake of tea/coffee as this impairs the absorption of iron.
Try to follow the correct dietary recommendation as it differs between countries as well as with the terminology.
In America they use the term Reference Daily Intake (RDI), this is similar in meaning to UK Reference Nutrient Intake (RNI) also note that the values are also different. Example, Vitamin C RNI is 40mg in the UK and however the America RDI is 60mg
So follow the guidance in your country.
Oh dear, look around. It is time for me to say goodbye but... hope to see you again. Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me. Good bye. Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂 We cannot control what happens around us, but we can control our responses. Be bless and know that the Lord loves you Lots of Love ©Hannah M Vandi. And I also pray that this verse refreshes you this week: 'However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
