Walking into the Unknown

' We give thanks to you, O God!
We give thanks!
You reveal your presence;
people tell about your amazing deeds.'

Psalms 75:1 NET

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Pray you have a wonderful one with your family and friends.

I thank God for your lives. May the Lord bless and keep you. May His face shine upon you. It is always a blessing when you stop by. Be blessed in your day and weeks to come.

Life in the Unknown world continues… Welcome to the world of walking into unknown places and life is no different. Yet we seem to be surprised at what lies ahead.

What is happening now has happened before.

Nothing is new under the sun.

The story continues…

As they reached the hut and the door swung wide open, Nwe paused and glanced around. With a hint of pride in his voice, I believe you have met Folrose spoke Athen. As the door swung close behind them.

As Folrose slowly walked down the stairs, eyes firmly fixed on Athen with a smile. I told you they will come. She could not resist the idea of being a hero.

Athen sat down in the cushioned chairs. Folrose was partnered with him and for how long! To answer her unspoken question.

The hardest part was I wanted to run away with the sword but couldn’t. It didn’t trust me without you around.

Really?

Folrose sighed. As she walked over picked up the glass.

See, this was all part of our plan from the beginning. Don’t look so shocked, it was all part of the deception. A way to convince you to trust me but I could not get that thing to come with me. Did you not notice the colour changes whenever I touched it?

Well, I assume that was normal. Her skin prickled as she came closer to the sword. She had always assumed that it had to do with the sword not her.

She gained some strength as she understood what it had all meant. Knowing how to recognise and deal with situations was a package deal.

Which is why the book she found hidden in her memory must remain concealed for now. It contains mysteries only known to her and was unlocked whenever she was concealed away from the world. She had discovered all that she needed for today and as she closed her eyes she only had one choice.

Cassa!

Nwe!

I need your help. We must do this together.

The other two didn’t hear but suspected that they were communicating. The room was sealed with the magic from within Folrose. The sense of her personality and magic grew stronger as she moved around with ease. She was the main driver, and as she watched her eyes changed colour and with each move the room got darker.

Do you know why you are here? Athen asked.

No. But I have an idea as to why…

We need to distract and separate them… came the distance whisper of Cassa

How?

I have an idea but it is risky and dangerous.

I don’t like that very much.

As Cassa moved up the stairs, Athen followed.

Why did you choose my place? Said Nwe

I needed to understand my enemy.

She frowned, you know that I could have killed you or left you dead?

Yes it was a risk worth taking. As her expression was uncharacteristically grave and with it the dark clouds surrounded them.

Stepping back as a flash of blue light hit the shield causing a disturbance. I caught a glimpse of an object coming towards me but before I could react it struck me and with a loud thud on the door.

Folrose smiled as she threw another and then another. Even as the strike did not combine with her power, the battering from the blows sent shock waves through her body.  Drawing strength from the sword as she moved before the next wave and a shield to block further attacks.

The way darkened further until she could see no more. She could hear movement upstairs as Cassa was having no luck.

Cassa moved in with the dagger in hand as Athen entered.

His brows creased. You chose the wrong side. Can you hear your new friend downstairs, it will be over soon. I might spare you if you surrender now.

She nodded. You don’t scare me.

How was she to defeat him? She taught

A wicked gleam entered his eyes. Don’t worry it will be soon over and you can also join Amiya.

She didn’t know she had been moving until she hit the wall, she knew that the end was now. A quick touch to her left back pocket she inspected the inside and held on to the light blade. Ready in pose and on the front side took out the pen knife he had given her.

Smiling grimly, he moved back a step and with swift movement knocked the knife out and struggled to move his hands tightened around her neck.

He had moved fast before she could think. As she took hold of the dagger, and moved into unconscious state. She knew she had to act now….

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I seem to like the short story in the moment 🙂

This is a journal of imaginative mind, fiction and also not much editing letting the words flow. Come back next week to see what happens. For as humans we need to be creative, use imagination and be the best version of ourself. Just like our Father wants us to be.

Who knows the mind of a human, only God!

I do love the Lord and I love that you took the time to read my blog. Bless you.

Have a wonderful day 🙂

All pictures are mine, with a touch of editing app adding
