Hi and welcome to the vault :), you know it is so hard to get out and about at this time of the year especially to exercise. So let us take a walk and talk.
Today determines our tomorrow
If you have set a New Year’s resolution and are still doing well then well done, great on you and keep going. If not then it’s not too late to start right back where you stop or the beginning. It is your plan and as long as you have breath then all is not lost.
Life is about enjoying it and fear the Lord.
Look at how the birds sings, the trees clap and wind blows as it pleases
All adults should do some type of physical activity, or any form of exercise once or twice a week.
Always speak to your GP first if you have not exercised for some time, or have any medical condition that will impact your exercise.
And secondly make sure the activity and intensity are appropriate for your fitness level.
Exercises in the cold and dark night… is not fun at all
See I wake up and it is dark outside and at four pm it is also dark outside. So it is very hard to keep it up.
Here is what I have learnt over the years in the darkness of the day: It is important to
Learn from your experiences – are you an early bird or night owl
This helps you fit the workout into your day and use it to your advantage
Notice your habit – If you are an early bird like me then an exercise in the morning might suit you and it frees you in the evening to relax and sleep early.
If you are a night owl then evening might suit you, then you get to lie in the morning.
Figure out what you need- it is important to know what you need and will also work with your lifestyle.
Take small steps – even a ten minutes start is better than none. And next time add another ten minutes and then another minute until it becomes a routine.
And lastly
Never beat yourself up – we are all not the same. Ten minutes will work for you in this season. Next season an hour might work.
So it is important to be KIND to yourself

So much truth today! I needed to hear this as I was debating on whether or not to head to the gym this morning. It looks like I will be attending a couple of classes this morning.
