Walking into the Unknown

' We give thanks to you, O God!
We give thanks!
You reveal your presence;
people tell about your amazing deeds.'

Psalms 75:1 NET

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Pray you have a wonderful one with your family and friends.

I thank God for your lives. May the Lord bless and keep you. May His face shine upon you. It is always a blessing when you stop by. Be blessed in your day and weeks to come.

Life in the Unknown world continues… Welcome to the world of walking into unknown places and life is no different. Yet we seem to be surprised at what lies ahead.

What is happening now has happened before.

Nothing is new under the sun.

The story continues…

As they reached the hut and the door swung wide open, Nwe paused and glanced around. With a hint of pride in his voice, I believe you have met Folrose spoke Athen. As the door swung close behind them.

As Folrose slowly walked down the stairs, eyes firmly fixed on Athen with a smile. I told you they will come. She could not resist the idea of being a hero.

Athen sat down in the cushioned chairs. Folrose was partnered with him and for how long! To answer her unspoken question.

The hardest part was I wanted to run away with the sword but couldn’t. It didn’t trust me without you around.

Really?

Folrose sighed. As she walked over picked up the glass.

See, this was all part of our plan from the beginning. Don’t look so shocked, it was all part of the deception. A way to convince you to trust me but I could not get that thing to come with me. Did you not notice the colour changes whenever I touched it?

Well, I assume that was normal. Her skin prickled as she came closer to the sword. She had always assumed that it had to do with the sword not her.

She gained some strength as she understood what it had all meant. Knowing how to recognise and deal with situations was a package deal.

Which is why the book she found hidden in her memory must remain concealed for now. It contains mysteries only known to her and was unlocked whenever she was concealed away from the world. She had discovered all that she needed for today and as she closed her eyes she only had one choice.

Cassa!

Nwe!

I need your help. We must do this together.

The other two didn’t hear but suspected that they were communicating. The room was sealed with the magic from within Folrose. The sense of her personality and magic grew stronger as she moved around with ease. She was the main driver, and as she watched her eyes changed colour and with each move the room got darker.

Do you know why you are here? Athen asked.

No. But I have an idea as to why…

We need to distract and separate them… came the distance whisper of Cassa

How?

I have an idea but it is risky and dangerous.

I don’t like that very much.

As Cassa moved up the stairs, Athen followed.

Why did you choose my place? Said Nwe

I needed to understand my enemy.

She frowned, you know that I could have killed you or left you dead?

Yes it was a risk worth taking. As her expression was uncharacteristically grave and with it the dark clouds surrounded them.

Stepping back as a flash of blue light hit the shield causing a disturbance. I caught a glimpse of an object coming towards me but before I could react it struck me and with a loud thud on the door.

Folrose smiled as she threw another and then another. Even as the strike did not combine with her power, the battering from the blows sent shock waves through her body.  Drawing strength from the sword as she moved before the next wave and a shield to block further attacks.

The way darkened further until she could see no more. She could hear movement upstairs as Cassa was having no luck.

Cassa moved in with the dagger in hand as Athen entered.

His brows creased. You chose the wrong side. Can you hear your new friend downstairs, it will be over soon. I might spare you if you surrender now.

She nodded. You don’t scare me.

How was she to defeat him? She taught

A wicked gleam entered his eyes. Don’t worry it will be soon over and you can also join Amiya.

She didn’t know she had been moving until she hit the wall, she knew that the end was now. A quick touch to her left back pocket she inspected the inside and held on to the light blade. Ready in pose and on the front side took out the pen knife he had given her.

Smiling grimly, he moved back a step and with swift movement knocked the knife out and struggled to move his hands tightened around her neck.

He had moved fast before she could think. As she took hold of the dagger, and moved into unconscious state. She knew she had to act now….

I seem to like the short story in the moment 🙂

This is a journal of imaginative mind, fiction and also not much editing letting the words flow. Come back next week to see what happens. For as humans we need to be creative, use imagination and be the best version of ourself. Just like our Father wants us to be.

Walking into Unknown

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in you
Trust in the Lord forever
For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength

Isaiah 26: 3-4

Life in the Unknown world continues… Welcome to the world of walking into unknown places and life is no different. Yet we seem to be surprised at what lies ahead.

What is happening now has happened before.

Nothing is new under the sun.

The story continues…

Suddenly a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. And he said to me, listen to my words carefully, forget all that has happened before. It is now time for you to complete the task that I have sent you to do.

Now I want you to understand that you are here because I made you come here, this is what I want you to do. She is not your friend and you are here to help me and we need to get the sword.

When he had finished, I turned my face to the ground and became speechless. Ties rolled down as the voice disappeared into the night.

As the light came to view, I knew what needed to be done, to escape her fate she must leave and never return. This was too much to bear, how could she. Seeing the sword, reaching towards it and pulling into it. It was easy to walk out with it as she took the step.

Also if she did walk out then both will join forces and no there will be no room for her to escape to. From her town she was incapable of such things but she must, she made a pledge and now it was to pay due. The voice has awakened the spirit within her.

Even when I stood up I also confirmed that it would be done. What choice do I have? With the force of a flood coming, they will be swept away. There will be no escape for anyone, she needs to save herself now.

Walking into the night with nothing in hand was not an option, she has bonded with the sword and can walk without anyone knowing. Yes this is the only option she has and it must be done. Into the night, as the darkness covered her.

We have to follow close by, as Nwe whispered into the air. Follow me, she will lead us to him

Hey, how did you know? She asked.

Will explain later but we need to be silent and follow as not to lose sight. Walking into the darkness, they stepped and engulfed by the lack of air they followed closely.

As they approached a forked, she turned left into further darkness. Following from a distance, she then entered into a hut and forces increased.

Come in here, he called.

A light came out from the hut as the door opened.

An ambush, Nwe mutter.  It had been far too long, and knew this was the only way to finish this.

Walking into the unknown

' But you must seek only the place he chooses

his name as his place of residence,
and you must go there. '

What is happening now has happened before.

Nothing is new under the sun.

The story continues…

Cassa closed her eyes.

As the thought sent triple fear through her mind to her spine causing her to stand. Slowly moving towards the window she closed her eyes and quickly pushed it aside.

She has no idea how long they have been in the room for as nothing indicates time, but it seems like it was darker than when they entered the house.

The dark red moon stood out in the black sky, indicating a cry for help and danger on the way. As upcoming thoughts try to filter it way through she pushes aside.

Looking around the room, Nwe seemed deep in thought with the sword. She had saved her life and now .. taking a deep breath she sent the memory away.

Obviously she was wrong to send it away, so  it could be used later as she sat again.

You have to move again from here said Nwe

Deep in thought she indicated a corner of the room with shadows covering the floor.

But I have not done anything..

Perhaps not, but I need you in the shadows before we face him.

As Nwe moved into the outer room leading to the outside, Fulrose followed closely. Stepping outside the house into the courtyard.

What do you hope to gain from walking out of here? Asked Fulrose

Nothing but a clear head. Reaching out for the sword as the air changed. She felt them coming. A man and woman had entered the courtyard  and were walking toward them.  She looked up and sucked in breath. Her eyes could see at least two more were up on the trees ahead.

She caught her breath in disbelief as five more appeared.

Vibrations rang through the sword as it glows familiar black. Fulrose you need to get away from here and get Cassa.

No, staring into her eyes intently.

Slowing her breathing, she closed her eyes. It was no use arguing.

Fulrose moved and jumped in the air landing on the tree above housing the others.

All heads immediately turned to face her. She felt the presence of Cassa in her mind as she became one with the sword. She was at least safe…

Drawing the power of the sword, she began to shape the air in a circle. It seems very eager to obey her. Running away from the house, she came to a halt. Turning around she lept and caught the tree with her fingers. Two men came at her with a grasp she hauled herself towards them letting the sword move. Twisting around allowing the men to surround her, looking back and forth. They started to walk towards her and as they moved close steam billowed from the air filling the space.

They cannot see me! She felt the energy and strength. I can move in the dark.

With one accord, she moved in and stabbed one after the other moving within the shadow until it was all done as the mist moved and became clear.

As fulrose came into sight.. That was exerting!

Walking in, thank you for the mist. Don’t’ know what youre talking about said Cassa

Walking into the unknown

' Do you not know? Do you not hear?
Has it not been told to you since the very beginning?
Have you not understood from the time the earth’s foundations were made?
He is the one who sits on the earth’s horizon; its inhabitants are like grasshoppers before him.
He is the one who stretches out the sky like a thin curtain, and spreads it out like a pitched tent.
He is the one who reduces rulers to nothing; he makes the earth’s leaders insignificant.

“To whom can you compare me? Whom do I resemble?” says the Holy One.
Look up at the sky! Who created all these heavenly lights?
He is the one who leads out their ranks; he calls them all by name.
Because of his absolute power and awesome strength, not one of them is missing.'

Isaiah 40:21-23,25-26

Yes the Lord is Incomparable to anything we can imagine
Take time to look around and give God glory
No one can ever compare to our God
to Father and Saviour of our Lord Jesus

I thank my God that He took time to create us
He took time to renew our minds
He took time to give us a new life
Above all we have an ethernal life
In Christ Jesus
He is good

Cassa’s stomach clenched with anxiety as she watched the totem move towards Athan slowly. She glanced at Nwe and Folrose in an effort to draw attention but only she can see the movement and the battle going on between herself and the totem.

She directed all her attention to the totem moving it in a sixty degree angle. Athan eyed her, and her effort to move it further towards herself.

Don’t you dare try anything, she taught as she looked at him. I might not have any experience or an assistant but I can assure you that I am a quick learner and willing to do anything. And I cannot lose this to you right now.

After the winding of  the waves from one angle to another, the tide turns suddenly as it moves into her hands. With relief as she clutched hold moving slowly to the others. As Athen disappeared into the darkness leaving them bewildered at the turn of events.

In an attempt to follow, Nwe disappeared into the darkness followed by Folrose. As they got close to the darkness and it swallowed him.

Do you know where he is gone? Asked Folrose.

I can only guess the underground we are building together. Did you see that totem was fighting to return to the owner? As Cassa whispered. I bet we can find him by allowing it to lead us to him.

That will be dangerous and also a trap as Nwe took hold of the totem. Anything belonging to him is not to be trusted.

Well what do you suggest? We wait until he comes back?

Cassa shrugged, he is not coming back and I get the feeling that we are not going to have it easy either or like it whatever he gets up to. Now before we head out in search of him, I suggest we all take a rest and prepare for tomorrow. We will need all the strength.

As she strode back to the place they came from, grabbing the totem, Nwe watched her closely. There was sureness in her stride and she also shows no signs of fear or anxiety seen earlier.

Cassa collapsed on the sofa at the very end of the room overlooking the windows. She needs to regroup in her mind, the recent movement of energy to have control of the totem has taxed her and left her drained. Nwe sat next to her and as Folrose looked around the room.

With her eyes closed, taken into another realm. As Amiya appeared, you have to leave right now. A striked flashed as she got closer and a shield was raised up. What is this?

An ambush, as Nwe stepped out of the shadows. Cassa turned around full circle seeing the shield surrounding them.

See I knew you will try to come in the shadows of her mind. As the images shifted from Amiya to Athen and back again.

Athen! The images stopped changing and she stared in horror at the error she could have made a minute ago.

Walking into the unknown

'And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.
Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed the hearts of God’s people.'

The story continues…

What do you think we can get from here? Said Fulrose

Well it is not, but this is exactly where I want to end all this on my own terms. It has been long and someone has to let go of the rope. Nwe admitted

So it is a trap?

Yes …

and why didn’t you not let me in on it or Cassa?

She looked thoughtful. Athan can read Cassa’s intentions and emotions, not sure if he can read the mind but I want her to make a choice.

So you think she will come with him?

Yes but it should be willing not compulsion, for him to get here and use her as the shield. I am counting on him doing that.

Well we better get down and hide or something?

She nodded.. thinking of the first day she had walked into the cave.

It was not a coincidence that she had walked past and seen the place. She doesn’t believe in coincidences. She felt a pang of guilt as she had taken Nwe with her afterward to see the place, and knowing what was about to come….She could not see at the moment only the adventure and excitement.

“About two months ago, I knew this was dangerous but never said anything when you followed. I didn’t think of asking how you felt. I wanted to see if I can learn something from them. I also wanted to find the truth at all costs, it is dangerous and you are welcome to run as far as you from this place

Are you sure? You might have seen what your mind wants you to see and also live all the fun to you….well I am here out of free will and no I did know what I was getting into. My eyes were wide open and ready to jump into the sea with you ——

I am no fool, Fulrose. She held her gaze. Yes my memory might have had a glimpse but it was not false.

Nwe frowned. Okay carry on.

Well, it will not end well. All the different scenarios did come back with the same conclusion.

Okay show me and maybe we can see a different side this time together.
