30:
'When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. Happy First of the Month of December
Season's greetings!
My soul magnifies the Lord
And my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour
For it is in Him I have Salvation
For only through Him the spirit within me has peace
For He who is mighty has done great things for me
Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty
His mercy is on all who fear Him
He has laid His life for everyone
He took the lowly place so we can see Heaven
He allowed His life to be taken so we cannot see death
But have eternal life
He has filled the hungry with good things
He has put all things under His feet
He is our God and we are His people
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The Lord is exalted for He lives in Heaven
He has filled the earth with justice and righteousness
He is our Judge, Lawgiver and King
The Lord our God has saved us
My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.Psalms 73:26
Early morning are times to step out and enjoy the beauty outside. Bermondsey 6:24 am Sunday 7 Nov 21
Hi and welcome to my vault :), hope you had a good weekend. It is always a pleasure that you stopped by: I love to just sit and listen and watch.
My weekend, well let me see..
On Saturday, I learnt about the festival of the Tabernacle . The Lord likes to have gatherings and feast of celebration. Yes, we should be celebrating the little things in life, not just the big ones.
Take a note to celebrate something that happen to you or someone else this week.
Back to Saturday! We had a chance to glorify God. It was a space to worship God no asking, just sitting with others and giving glory to the Father. Sharing what God has done and continues to do. Having communion with one another.
It always give me a chance to:
Look at the wonders of God's creation
I like to go outside and capture the moment
O God, You have taught me from my youth
And to this day I declare Your wonderous works
And when my feet had almost stumbled
My steps had nearly slipped
For I have listen to the voice of hearsay
When I taught they speak wisdom
You showed me mercy and Grace
You revive me again and again
My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You
And my soul, which You have redeemed.
Just knowing that God wanted to spend time with His chosen people is amazing. And understanding that every decision we make has a consequence, good or bad.
I have come to know that God hates sin! That shows me a God of Love! He doesn’t want us to spend eternity in hell on earth but to enjoy Heaven on Earth until we meet the Lord. God is good and His Mercy endures forever!
And on Sunday we are on the series of Acts!
As I listen and start to mediate what we have learnt in the past weeks.
Church is life and it doesn’t mean we have a magic pill that makes all the problems go away. In fact they increase and we face prosecution BUT the Lord Jesus promises to never leave us but to help us with our burden and we are not to rely on our strength but to focus on Him for the Joy of the Lord is our strength.
Be bless!
Well then come with me. That was a nice tour into the weekend, let us enter the vault and see what we can find.
You know this is timely, winter is here. The weather is cold and it is time we get the winter coats and make some soup to keep us warm.
Did you know that the fruits and vegetables that are seasonal are around for a reason? There is time for everything.
I find it quite fascinating with the seasonal fruits and vegetables, the body needs them at that time. They come at that season to help build the body up, to help protect and fight all harmful things that will come. It helps prepare the body in that season.
So don’t knock it out, when you see them try it out. They are very tasty and also it helps with the climate change and your local fruit and vegetables stores.
With the weather changing, we definitely need to help boost our immune system.
Try eating seasonally: it helps boost the immune system.
Little nugget on ways that can help with seasonal eating.
Chicken brought soup to help support the gut with an addition of garlic and onions also can do wonders.
Practical applications that I have found helps me in the winter month:
Walk outside for twenty minutes minimum: Yes you heard that correctly
It’s cold! I know all the more reasons to do it.
It helps strengthen the bones, clears the head and changes the scenery.
Also you get to see the beauty of the creation, look up in the sky, stop and look at the trees or the houses.
Some of these houses are a work of art and worth appreciating.
See the things around you and appreciate them. Give thanks.
Work on building your spiritual growth:
To me spiritual growth means spending time with God (i.e. praying, reading the Bible – listening, spending time with people building relationships) it builds up our faith and also it is good for staying on the bright side of life and not to walk in the darkness.
As we walk through the path
The darkness is in front of us
My soul let us take sword of the spirit
For it separates the flesh from the spirit
It brings light into the darkness
It lets us be a new creation
and renews our mind
So let us walk and
hold The Hand
He is faithful
Sleep well:
never underestimate the power of sleep to the body. When you don’t sleep well, it gives us an excuse to drink more caffeine to stay awake.
If you have an alarm to wake up then set an alarm to go to bed early.
Read a book, stay away from all electronics before bed
The brain needs to wind down for a good sleep
Eat foods rich in Vitamins C like broccoli, Oranges, strawberries
Eating vitamin C-rich foods along with Iron-rich foods will greatly improve the absorption of iron. Limit intake of tea/coffee as this impairs the absorption of iron.
Try to follow the correct dietary recommendation as it differs between countries as well as with the terminology.
In America they use the term Reference Daily Intake (RDI), this is similar in meaning to UK Reference Nutrient Intake (RNI) also note that the values are also different. Example, Vitamin C RNI is 40mg in the UK and however the America RDI is 60mg
' I repeat, be strong and brave!
Don’t be afraid and don’t panic,
for I, the Lord your God,
am with you in all you do.'Joshua 1:9 NET
London, Bermondsey – a view of Tower Bridge really a picture of the clouds moving towards me as I walk away from Tower Bridge
Faraway it calls
I am coming but I don't know when
It hasn’t even happen
But it might happen
Yet I tremble at the thought of moving
For something that might happen
Or might not happen
Oh dear what to do
I never expected the storms
But should I be expecting it
Yes, I accept the challenge when it comes
I live my life when it doesn't come
But I will always run into the arms of the Lord
A lesson to learn
For without fear
I wouldn't know
I have courage
Yes what is man
Without the voice
Of the Lord
LISTEN to the
voice of the
LORD
Never rely on
just self
For it can be
deceptive
It knows
no bound
It is infinite
and comes
with pride
when left
unchecked
It becomes
destruction
that calls
itself envy
Do not rely
on self
For with it
comes
comparison
but when
we abide
in the Lord
the truth
comes out
the light
shines
brightly
Destroying
the self
Bringing
peace
that you
cannot get
from self
Yes abide
in Him
and
He will
abide
in
you
I love these moments when you capture them in the act – perfect! actually got close to him/her. It actually love the attention.
I will sing to the Lord
I will sing of His mercies forever
With my mouth will I make known His faithfulness
As I woke up, with a thirst for water
The Lord our God provides the water we need
He sends the springs into the valleys
They flow among the Hills
They give drink to every beast of the field
The wild deers quench their thirst
The birds in the wild make their own home
They sing among the branches
He waters the Earth from the Heavens
The earth is satisfied with the fruits of His blessings
The grass grows for the cattle
And plants for the service of man
What a wonderful God we serve
Yes I was in a state of illness but to
Open my gates I needed to remind myself
The God that I serve, Jesus Christ my healer
What is man? That He provides our needs
Even the little ones, He cares for us
O Lord, how numerous are Your works
In wisdom You have made them all
The earth is full of Your possessions
This great and thoughtful mind You have given us
In which we are to wear the Helmet of Salvation
As great as the sea is and it sails with wind
Sometimes the mind moves with winds
Yet we do not have to for we can stir the ship
We can stop and rest in You Lord
Even the Lions in wild, the birds in the air
The fish in the sea, they wait on You Lord
That You may give them their food in due season
What You give them, they gather in
They run and catch their prey
You open Your hands and they are filled with good things
For You are the God that only give good
You hide Your face and they are in trouble
You take away their breathe and they die and return to dust
You send forth Your spirit and life is created
Glory be to God the Father
The Son and the Holy Spirit
May the Lord rejoice in His works
He looks on the earth with compassion
And His Son was given to us
Today if you hear the voice of the Lord
Do not harden your heart as in the rebellion
But give thanks to the Lord our God
Who gives victory through the Lord Jesus Christ
We have life everlasting, no fear of death
Death is already swallowed up in victory
Blessed be God
Who has not turned away from my prayer
Nor His mercy from me.
