Praises –

38:

'Some of you may say,
‘We are free to do anything that we want to do!’
But not everything is good for you to do.

You may say,
‘We are free to do anything!’
But not everything helps you to be strong as a believer .
Do not think about the things that will help you.
Instead, each of you should think about what will help other people. '

1 Corinthians 10:23-24 EASY
Oh give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His Name
Make known His deeds among everyone

Yes we are free to do anything
But not everything is good without You Lord
He is the Lord our God
His judgements are true
He remembers all His covenants

Saying to Abram, I will make you a great nation
I will bless you
And make your name great
And you shall be a blessing
I will bless those who bless you
And I will curse him who curses you
And in you all families of the earth will be blessed

For He remembered His Holy promise
And Abraham His servant
He brought His people with joy
His chosen ones with gladness

For the earth is the Lord’s and all its fullness
We are His chosen one in Christ Jesus
So let us be imitators of Christ
Glorifying the Father and obeying His words

Praise the Lord!
For His mercy endures forever
Who can utter the mighty works of the Lord?
Who can declare all His praise?

Let us come before the Lord,
Holy and pleasing in His sight
Repent and confess to one another
For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand

Blessed are those who hunger and
thirst for righteousness
For they shall be filled

Holy, Holy is our Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is and is to come
Let the earth be filled with His glory
Thank you for stopping by
God bless you in your journey

“Treasure Trove of Information”

OH, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

Psalm 118:1

Hi and welcome to the vault :), another week has started. Hope you had a good weekend. You know it is so hard to get out and about at this time of the year especially to exercise but today I am looking at REST. Sabbath REST, one thing is for sure that sometimes I am guilty of making excuses to do more work.

Guess I am learning all things and that is the fun of life…

Here is what I have found

When we stop learning then life has no meaning.

This weekend I was at God’s Big Story and it was about The Book of Hebrews (showing us the fulfilment of the storyline of the Old Testament.)

Jesus is the FINAL word to us from God

In the past God speaks to His people in different ways and now only through Jesus

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
He created the universe
He sustains everything by the power of His command

Jesus radiates God’s own glory
Jesus sit at the right Hand of the majestic God in Heaven
Jesus expresses the very character of God
He has the exact imprint of God’s nature
Our Lord Jesus Christ the ultimate Priestly King

You know, the Book of Hebrews shows us a perfect Leader to follow.

Jesus shows us what a human is…

So I was asked a few questions. What kind of human am I? Am I listening?

God is talking and always is. BUT do I really LISTEN… the skill of listening

The moment of REST gives us a chance to reflect and get back on track. When God created the world, at the end of each day we knew that the day was over and it was good

You know what, I learnt something new about REST in chapter four of Hebrews

Why Sabbath? In the world of busyness, do we take a break…

Rest is NOT optional and it is so easy to turn blind eye when someone says I am so tired..

But when someone says I have slept with my neighbours wife or husband we take a step back.

In the sight of God, REST is as important as not coveting your neighbour or killing someone or lying.

So it is very challenging yet it is a command and a very important one for the body, mind and soul… It reset and refocused on what matters.

REST:

It tells us a lot about GOD
In all things remember that God is the point - the whole reason for working, for being a human being is because of God.
It was there to remind the Israliest that God is their provider - and to remind us that God is the Provider.
It also gives us the space to reflect on our salvation
Rest on a weekly basis reminded the Israelist of their freedom from salvery and it now reminds us that we are free from slavery. Christ Jesus paid a price for us to walk free. We are no longer a slave!
Rest points forward to Jesus - the ultimate source of our rest

It is in Jesus Christ
That we have righteousness
Our identity is found in Him only
He is our security
Our Hope is found in Him alone
He is my priority - that means at work I glorify God when I work and I should switch off one day a week to realign my priorities and what can I do next week that will point to Jesus.

Yes, so I step back! Here is what I found.

Not by my power
Not by might

Everything is vanity
Vanities of vanities says the Preacher

I will not let my mouth cause me to sin
Nor will I depend on my own understanding

NO! Why should God be angry at my excuses
And destroy the works of my hands?

Better is the sight of the eyes
Than the wondering desire

For all things are vanity
And all desires leads to temptation

This is also vanity and grasping of the wind

So many nuggets gathered, these are jewels that I want to hold on to.

I step out of the busyness and meet Jesus outside the walls

Am I listening, are you listening… God is always speaking but are we listening…

To the very end we are to live in the world yet not of the world.
We are to be salt and light.
That means working in the world with the brightest light that points to Jesus.
The preview image of what following Christ is…

We can be lost in the busyness

so here is what I found out...

Let us go out and meet Jesus
In the Cross it was outside the world of the City
The City that is always busy but stepping out and taking a rest is good
The world rejected Him, yet He loved the world
Love the city you are in that will never accept you
Knowing that Jesus is far greater
Oh dear, look at the time. Hope to see you again.
Thank you again for stopping by it means a lot to me. Good bye.

Pray you have a wonderful week 🙂
We cannot control what happens around us,
but we can control our responses.
Be bless and know that the Lord loves you
Lots of Love

And I also pray that this verse refreshes you this week:
'However,
I consider my life worth nothing to me;
my only aim is to finish the race and
complete the task the Lord Jesus has given
me—the task of testifying to the
good news of God’s grace. '
Acts 20:24 NIV

My living Hope!

'Now in the place where He was executed, there was a garden.
In the garden was a new tomb where no one had yet been buried.
Because it was the Jewish Day of Preparation and the tomb was nearby,
they laid Yeshua there.'

John 19:41-42
Happy Friday! Once the year starts
Time and tide waits for no man
The air passes as it’s pleases
And the sound can be heard

Yes I continue my journey with John and looking at Lord
He was nailed to the cross and near a garden
The Garden that refreshes my soul

My living hope
Hallelujah, the Lord reigns
Hallelujah, the Lord reigns

Jesus Christ is my living hope
What is life without Him? Indeed
What is life without the Lord?

Jesus Christ is my living hope
My soul let us come to the garden
And see that sin and death
Has no hold on us

The Lord is risen
He is our living hope
My soul let us praise His Name
For we are a New creation in the Lord

36:

'You search the Scriptures because you suppose that in them you have eternal life.
It is these that testify about Me.
Yet you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life!

“I do not accept glory from men.
But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves.
I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me.
But if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.
How can you believe,
when you receive glory from one another and
you do not seek the glory that comes from God alone? '

John 5:39-44 TLV

Life! Life!
Is only found in the presence of the Lord
Why? Why my soul do we seek glory from men?
Let us come before the Lord our God

Let the people tremble
He dwells in our hearts
And we behold His glory

The glory of the only begotten of the
Father full of Grace and truth

Let the people tremble
For we are His witnesses and
we are His Hands and His feet

For the Lord is great above all things
And He is high above all people

Let the people tremble
Let us praise His Great and Awesome Name
For He is Holy

The King’s strength also loves justice
The King will never let you down

Let the people tremble
Exalt the Lord our God
And worship at His footstool

For He is Holy
You answered them, O Lord our God

Let the people tremble
You were to them God-Who-Forgives
For the Lord our God is Holy

Let us tremble at the sight of our God
And bow and worship Him

For He is HOLY!

'Jesus said to them,
“Why are you afraid?
Do you still have no faith and confidence [in Me]?”
They were filled with great fear, and said to each other,
“Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”'

Mark 4:40-41 AMP
Who then is this?
Even the storm, the wind and the sea
Will obey the Lord our God

May I never forget the wonders of You Lord
May I look to You, in awe and wonder

O Lord, You are my God
I will exalt Your Name
For You have done wonderful things

For You have calmed the storms
You are my Refuge
When the waves started splashing
You are my Shield

You have reduced the noise of the waves
As heat dies down in a fireplace
As shadow of heats disappears

The song of the terrible ones will be diminished
And the Lord our God will destroy the mountains
The Lord of Host will brings peace to all His people

Behold this is our God
Our Lord and Savior
Who rebukes the winds

The Lord our God, His mercy are new every morning
Let us praise His Holy Name
Let us honour our Saviour
